Recap: Two Eagle River Eagles vs. Northern Cheyenne Tribal Eagles
On Saturday, Two Eagle River was able to grind out a solid win over Northern Cheyenne Tribal, taking the game 48-35. The win made it back-to-back wins for Two Eagle River.
Two Eagle River was led to victory by Dayani Piapot and Keke Tenas. Piapot scored 13 points along with 9 steals, while Tenas scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Piapot has scored at least 25% of Two Eagle River's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Myranda Trahan, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Two Eagle River's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Northern Cheyenne Tribal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Two Eagle River will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Montana (Lincoln is ranked first, while Two Eagle River is ranked third).
