Basketball Recap: Cumby Comes Up Short

If Cumby was riding high fresh off their 53-24 takedown of Yantis last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cumby Trojans fell 39-27 to the Como-Pickton Eagles on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Cumby's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Como-Pickton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cumby will take on Boles at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Boles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Cumby surely won't give up without a fight. As for Como-Pickton, they will face off against North Hopkins at 6:30 p.m. on February 4th.
