Basketball Game Preview: Sand Creek Aggies vs. Whiteford Bobcats

Sand Creek and Whiteford are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. The Sand Creek Aggies will take on the Whiteford Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sand Creek has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Sand Creek got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They secured a 36-32 W over Britton Deerfield on Friday.

Sand Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mya Harvey led the charge by putting up 14 points. The dominant performance also gave Harvey a new career-high in field goal percentage (60%). Faith Beardmore was another key player, posting nine points.

Meanwhile, in a tight game that could have gone either way, Whiteford made off with a 36-35 victory over Morenci. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bobcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 34th).

Sand Creek's record now sits at 3-17. As for Whiteford, their record now sits at 13-8.

Sand Creek might still be hurting after the 49-27 loss they got from Whiteford in their previous meeting back in January. Can Sand Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
