Baseball Recap: Gorham Extends Winning Streak to Five

Gorham entered their tilt with Profile on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 16-3 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Isaac Langlois made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs.

In other batting news, Gavin Corrigan was incredible, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Saladino, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Gorham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Gorham's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Profile, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gorham will welcome Moultonborough Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Profile, they will challenge Colebrook Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mohawks have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
