Softball Recap: Mildred Takes a Loss

Mildred was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Frankston Indians. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2016.

Parker Kittrell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 4-for-4. Cameron Lopez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Mildred now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Frankston, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Mildred nor Frankston have any future games scheduled.
