Basketball Recap: Heppner Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Heppner won the last time they faced Echo and things went their way on Saturday too. The Heppner Mustangs walked away with a 60-49 win over the Echo Cougars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Heppner pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Echo, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heppner will be taking part in a tournament against Knappa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Echo and Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th.
