Monroe barely beat Lincoln the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans blew past the Railsplitters 3-0 on Tuesday. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Trojans yet this season.

Monroe not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lincoln between 18 and 21 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Lincoln still got an impressive performance from Rachel Pomorski, who had seven digs and four aces.

The victory snapped Monroe's losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 12-22-1 record. As for Lincoln, they dropped their record down to 10-23 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Monroe will take on Belleville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincoln, after both having extra time off, they and Bedford will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
