Volleyball Recap: Sylmar Comes Up Short

Sylmar suffered their biggest defeat since August 21st on Wednesday. They came up short against the Taft Toreadors, falling 3-0. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Toreadors recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

While Sylmar was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Taft's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-17.

Sylmar's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Taft, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Sylmar is taking a road trip to take on Panorama at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Taft, they will take on Wilson at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
