Volleyball Recap: Tri-Valley Takes a Loss

Tri-Valley lost against River View back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Scotties fell 3-1 to the Black Bears. The Scotties have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tri-Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-15.

Reese Lamonica paced Tri-Valley's offense, picking up 12 kills. Lamonica got some help from Ingrid Dittmar and her 38 assists. Liv Reffitt controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Tri-Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for River View, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Tri-Valley is set to face off against their familiar foe Philo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, River View will take on rival Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
