Temecula Prep dropped their record down to 14-6 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games.

For San Jacinto Valley Academy's part, not much got past Martin Morando, who gave up just five hits to keep Temecula Prep off the board.

On the hitting side, San Jacinto Valley Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Canon Fletcher, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Fletcher has become a key player for the Wolves: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 5-8 otherwise.

The Patriots are facing the Rangers at the right time seeing as the Rangers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they will face off against Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight.
