Basketball Recap: Muncy Triumphs

Muncy won the last time they faced Neumann Regional Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. It was close, but the Indians ultimately received the gift of a 46-43 victory from a begrudging Indians squad. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since December 21, 2024.

Nixon Lamper had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double with 21 points and 17 boards. Those 21 points gave him a new career-high. Jaxton Frantz was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Despite the loss, Neumann Regional Academy still got an impressive performance from Daiton Thompson, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahki Brister, who had ten points.

Muncy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Neumann Regional Academy, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Muncy is set to square off against their familiar foe Bucktail at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Neumann Regional Academy will take on rival Montgomery at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
