Volleyball Recap: Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles vs. Pacifica Christian Tritons

Capistrano Valley Christian was the 3-1 winner over Pacifica Christian when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles came up short against the Tritons on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since September 4th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-18.

Hope Van Rensselaer paced Capistrano Valley Christian's offense, picking up 13 kills. Van Rensselaer got some help from Megan Keena and her ten assists. Finally, Katelyn Metz and Nala Dailey kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked two attacks.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pacifica Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addie Roberson, who had 20 digs and two aces. Those 20 digs gave Roberson a new career-high. Emery Heal was another key player, getting 16 digs and five assists.

Capistrano Valley Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17-1 record this season. As for Pacifica Christian, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
