Baseball Recap: Kentlake Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Kentlake's offense. They fell just short of the Enumclaw Hornets by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 8-5.

Matthew Ledbetter was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Kentlake now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Enumclaw, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Kentlake will head out to take on Tahoma at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Enumclaw, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Tumwater at 3:00 p.m.
