Basketball Recap: Mount Olive Takes a Loss

Mount Olive lost against Taylorsville last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mount Olive Pirates had to suffer through a 48-12 loss at the hands of the Taylorsville Tartars.

Among those leading the charge was London Young, who posted 13 points. Antiana Newell was another key player, putting up eight points.

Mount Olive's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Taylorsville, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-13.

Mount Olive didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-22 defeat against Leake County on the 7th. As for Taylorsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-11 win against Stringer on the 7th.
