Karson Smith was a major factor in Heritage's win over Denison on Saturday. Smith turned in nothing short of a gem, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

Coming up, Heritage and McKinney North will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage has some work to do to even out the 1-7-1 series between these two since April of 2015, but a win here would be a good start.
