Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Takes a Loss

St. Joseph lost against Edwardsburg back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The St. Joseph Bears lost 57-31 to the Edwardsburg Eddies. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 490th, while the Eddies are ranked 142nd).

St. Joseph's defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Edwardsburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Looking ahead, St. Joseph will square off against Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Edwardsburg, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sturgis at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Edwardsburg is facing Sturgis at the right time seeing as Sturgis is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
