Baseball Recap: Three Straight Road Wins for Cocke County

Cocke County barely beat Morristown-Hamblen East the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Fighting Cocks' pitchers stepped up to hand the Hurricanes a 9-0 shutout on Saturday. The Fighting Cocks haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Cocke County's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-11. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Morristown-Hamblen East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17-1 record this season.

Cocke County will host Carter at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
