Basketball Game Preview: Northwood Rangers vs. Toledo Christian Eagles

Northwood is 0-10 against Toledo Christian since January of 2020 but things could change on Saturday. The Northwood Rangers will take on the Toledo Christian Eagles at 2:15 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Thursday, Northwood came up short against Cardinal Stritch and fell 38-31.

Meanwhile, Toledo Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 50-44 to Start. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 420th, while the Spartans are ranked 105th).

Toledo Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Northwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.

Northwood ended up a good deal behind Toledo Christian in their previous meeting last Friday, losing 55-41. Can Northwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
