After a string of nine wins, Falmouth's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Marshwood Hawks by a score of 4-2. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Falmouth has scored all season.

Josh Polchies made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last six games he's played.

On Marshwood's side, Gus Alexander spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. Those seven innings set a new season-high mark for him.
