Recap: Lyle/Pacelli Athletics vs. Mabel-Canton Cougars
The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics's game on Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against Mabel-Canton by a score of 75-66. Lyle/Pacelli's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
When it comes to explaining why Mabel-Canton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cayden Tollefsrud. Despite the final result, he scored 29 points along with 9 rebounds. The contest was Tollefsrud's third in a row with at least ten points. Riley Snell was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 5 steals.
Lyle/Pacelli now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mabel-Canton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Lyle/Pacelli will be playing in front of their home fans against Houston at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Houston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. As for Mabel-Canton, they will head out on the road to face off against Southland at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
