Basketball Recap: Exeter-Milligan/Friend Falls Despite Big Games from Tori Bresson and Taylin Schluter

Exeter-Milligan/Friend lost against Diller-Odell two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats came up short against the Diller-Odell Griffin, falling 57-31. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-16.

Exeter-Milligan/Friend's loss came despite strong showings from Taylin Schluter and Tori Bresson. Schluter posted nine points and five steals, while Bresson scored five points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those seven boards gave Bresson a new career-high.

Myleigh Weers continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Diller-Odell, going 12-for-22 to rack up 33 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Weers has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 12 times she's played. Baileigh Vilda was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals.

Exeter-Milligan/Friend has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. Diller-Odell is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
