Volleyball Recap: Desert Gets the Win

Desert won the last time they faced Rosamond and things went their way on Thursday too. Desert walked away with a 3-1 victory over Rosamond. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Scorpions.

While Desert might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Rosamond scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 24-26, 25-18.

Ayden Nguyen paced Desert's offense, picking up nine kills. Nguyen got some help from Benny Baladez and his 21 assists. Arturo-Andrei Caraig controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Desert picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-8. As for Rosamond, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Desert will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Eastside at 4:00 p.m. on April 9. As for Rosamond, they will take on Lancaster at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Lancaster will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Rosamond surely won't give up without a fight.
