Baseball Recap: Calhoun Academy Has No Trouble Against Delta Academy

Calhoun Academy never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Delta Academy Raiders with a sharp 10-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won seven in a row.

Caiden Farmer made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Bronnor Bingham was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3. Levi Walls also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Calhoun Academy's record now sits at 15-8. As for Delta Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Calhoun Academy will challenge Marvell Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Delta Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
