Recap: Westside Patriots vs. Thomson Bulldogs
The Westside Patriots lost against the Thomson Bulldogs back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Westside was beaten by Thomson 63-6. Westside was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.
Xavier Goss threw for 75 yards and a touchdown. Armani Thomas was his top target, picking up 41 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Jeanarion Kamga rushed for 94 yards.
It was another big night for Anthony Jeffery, who rushed for 197 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Jeffery was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. Another player making a difference was Cervutes Felts, who rushed for 57 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Westside has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Thomson, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Westside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Thomson will be playing at home against Jeff Davis at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Jeff Davis will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Thomson is ranked 114th).
