Softball Recap: Nederland Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Nederland had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Friendswood Mustangs on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Mustangs on Friday, they had to take a 10-0 defeat.

Saydee Montoya was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Sophia Livingston was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Nederland has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Friendswood, their loss dropped their record down to 24-6.

As of now, neither Nederland nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
