Basketball Recap: Orange Comes Up Short

Orange was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Knightdale Knights 54-27.

Tre Roper was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine boards for Knightdale. Another player making a difference was Brennen Jefferson, who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Orange's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Knightdale, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orange will welcome Person at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Knightdale, they will be playing at home against Cleveland at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
