Basketball Recap: Lake County Takes a Loss

Lake County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Eagle Valley Devils 88-39. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 93-48 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2017.

Defeat or not, Lake County got some senior leadership from Jason Ayers and Canaan Hall. Ayers posted nine points, while Hall had seven points.

It was another big night for Dylan Zoller, who went 9 of 21 on his way to 24 points along with six rebounds and three steals for Eagle Valley. With that strong performance, Zoller is now averaging an impressive 15.8 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Medina, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.

Lake County's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Eagle Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Lake County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-50 defeat against Moffat County on the 12th. As for Eagle Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 74-44 loss against Loveland on the 12th.
