If Avery County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Hendersonville, they should've done a better job of containing Averie Russell. The Bearcats blew past the Vikings 3-0 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Russell, who had 13 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Hendersonville was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-11, 25-12.

When it comes to explaining why Avery County lost, don't look at Kylie Holtsclaw. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs.

Hendersonville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Avery County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
