Basketball Recap: Lakeland Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

Lakeland put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Fairfield Falcons by a score of 55-46. Given the Lakers' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Falcons are ranked 144th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lakeland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keyan Arroyo led the charge by putting up 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Riehl, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Lakeland pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Fairfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Lakeland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 81-60 loss against South Bend St. Joseph on the 12th. As for Fairfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-40 defeat against NorthWood on the 14th.
