Cornerstone Charter Academy's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 28-0 victory over Tradition Prep. The result was nothing new for the Ducks, who have now won three matchups by 25 points or more so far this season.

A big part of Cornerstone Charter Academy's win came down to the chemistry between Connor Luckado and his top target Jackson Marsingill. Luckado threw for 66 yards and three touchdowns while Marsingill picked up 28 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. What's more, Marsingill posted two receiving touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August.

Meanwhile, St. Edward's and Master's Academy were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but St. Edward's suffered a 15-14 loss.

Cornerstone Charter Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.0 points on average over those games. As for St. Edward's, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Cornerstone Charter Academy took a serious blow against St. Edward's in their previous matchup back in October of 2021, falling 42-6. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Ducks were down 35-0.
