Soccer Recap: Troy Takes a Loss

Troy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Voorheesville Blackbirds, falling 8-1. While losing is never fun, Troy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while Voorheesville are ranked 84th).

Troy's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Voorheesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Troy is set to take on their familiar foe Cohoes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Voorheesville will face off against rival Ichabod Crane at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
