Volleyball Recap: Angola Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

Angola proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Woodlan Warriors 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hornets have posted since November 2, 2024.

Angola had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 21-25, 25-16, 25-19, 15-13.

Leading Angola to victory were Mady Conrad and Cali Hamilton. Conrad had nine digs and two aces, while Hamilton had 11 digs. That's the most digs Hamilton has posted since back in August.

Angola's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. As for Woodlan, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.

Coming up, Angola will be taking part in a tournament against Chesterton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Woodlan, they will head out on the road to challenge Adams Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
