Mt. Zion entered their tilt with Mattoon on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Greenwave by a score of 5-3. The game was the first time Mt. Zion have beaten Mattoon on their pitch since April 27, 2021.

Mt. Zion pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those three matchups. As for Mattoon, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
