Baseball Game Preview: Great Bridge Wildcats vs. James River Midlothian Rapids

The Great Bridge Wildcats will square off against the James River Midlothian Rapids at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Great Bridge comes in on seven and James River Midlothian on four.

Great Bridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They skirted past Granby 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since May 12th.

Caden Cinnamond tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Ryder Harrell was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025.

Meanwhile, James River Midlothian earned a 7-2 win over John Champe on Tuesday.

James River Midlothian's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Great Bridge, their win bumped their record up to 21-5.
