Basketball Recap: Perry-Lecompton Comes Up Short

Perry-Lecompton has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-47 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Marys Bears. The Kaws were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bears from their previous meeting back in January of 2025.

Perry-Lecompton's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for St. Marys, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Perry-Lecompton is set to face off against their familiar foe Rossville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, St. Marys will take on rival Jefferson West at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
