Basketball Game Preview: Colfax Bulldogs vs. Freeman Scotties

The Colfax Bulldogs will face off against the Freeman Scotties at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Friday, Colfax was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-52 to Liberty.

Meanwhile, Freeman had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Saturday. They came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 44-36.

Freeman pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Colfax, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7.

Colfax was able to grind out a solid win over Freeman when the teams last played back in November of 2023, winning 51-43. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Freeman's Taylee Phelps, who went 9 for 20 en route to 25 points.
