Basketball Game Preview: South Point Red Raiders vs. Stuart W. Cramer Storm

The South Point Red Raiders will head out to take on the Stuart W. Cramer Storm at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as South Point comes in on three and Stuart W. Cramer on nine.

South Point will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Huss, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. South Point managed a 59-54 victory over Huss on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Stuart W. Cramer strolled past Ashbrook with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 54-36. Given the Storm's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Greenwave are ranked 226th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Point better keep an eye on Oshauna Holland. She was instrumental in Stuart W. Cramer's win, dropping a double-double with 30 points and ten boards. Holland has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last 55 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Hadley Womack, who went 6-for-15 to rack up 13 points and five rebounds.

Stuart W. Cramer pushed their record up to 23-2 with the win, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points over those games. As for South Point, their record now sits at 18-6.

South Point and Stuart W. Cramer were neck-and-neck when the teams last played on February 4th, but South Point came up empty-handed after a 57-56 loss. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Holland, who dropped a double-double with 34 points and 11 boards.
