Basketball Recap: Austin Takes a Loss

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 51-44 to the Florence Falcons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Black Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-53 on January 7th.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Florence, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-11.

Austin has already played their next game (against Russellville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Florence Falcons face off against the Athens Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
