Basketball Recap: Stadium Tigers vs. Auburn Trojans
Stadium was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Auburn Trojans and fell 59-30. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-15 back in December of 2024.
Stadium's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zo? Wilder, who posted six points and three steals. Reagan Johnson was another key player, putting up seven points.
Stadium's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Auburn, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stadium will challenge Mt. Rainier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Rainier has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Auburn, they will face off against Tahoma at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tahoma is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Auburn a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
