Soccer Game Preview: Benjamin Franklin vs. Thatcher

The Benjamin Franklin Chargers will challenge the Thatcher Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Thatcher will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Benjamin Franklin extended their winning streak to nine on Monday. The Chargers' defense stepped up to hand Apache Junction a 9-0 shutout. Give Benjamin Franklin's defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Thatcher got the win against Sabino on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. Thatcher haven't had any issues with Sabino recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Benjamin Franklin's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Thatcher, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4-1.

Benjamin Franklin got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 against Thatcher by a conclusive 4-1 score. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
