Volleyball Recap: Aquinas Gets the Win

Aquinas hadn't done well against Arrowhead Christian recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Falcons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 last Thursday.

Aquinas got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 22-25, 28-30, 25-17, 15-11.

Aquinas is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. As for Arrowhead Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Coming up, Aquinas will square off against Loma Linda Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arrowhead Christian, they will take on Ontario Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
