Basketball Recap: Coral Shores Takes a Loss

Coral Shores was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Palmer Trinity Falcons, falling 76-35. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 693rd, while the Falcons are ranked 181st).

Leading Palmer Trinity to victory were Graham Yanowitch and Andres Domenech. Yanowitch went 7 for 9 on his way to 20 points and seven rebounds, while Domenech went 7 of 15 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. Yanowitch's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harrison Miles, who posted ten points.

Coral Shores' loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Palmer Trinity, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coral Shores will challenge Key West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Palmer Trinity, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Doral Academy at 7:30 p.m.
