Basketball Recap: Springfield Falls Despite Big Games from Rowen Harris and Chase Burches

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Springfield can now relate to. They came up short against the Winnfield Tigers on Friday, falling 83-59. The Bulldogs' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Chase Burches and Rowen Harris certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Burches shot 50% from the field on his way to 16 points and seven boards, while Harris posted 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Dequincy Davis, who earned seven points.

Even though they lost, Springfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.
