Basketball Game Preview: Napoleon Wildcats vs. Bowling Green Bobcats

Napoleon has gone 10-0 against Bowling Green recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Napoleon Wildcats take on the Bowling Green Bobcats at 7:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Napoleon has three straight victories, Bowling Green has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Napoleon will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Ross, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Napoleon came out on top against Ross by a score of 56-44 on Thursday. The score was all tied up 28-28 at the break, but the Wildcats were the better team in the second half.

Napoleon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Molly Rosebrook, who went 6 of 8 on her way to 16 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Rosebrook a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lylah Huddle, who posted 17 points.

Meanwhile, Bowling Green didn't have quite enough to beat Southview on Thursday and fell 29-26.

Napoleon's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Bowling Green, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Napoleon was able to grind out a solid victory over Bowling Green when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 33-20. Will Napoleon repeat their success, or does Bowling Green have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
