Volleyball Recap: Beech Grove Takes a Loss

After flying high against Indianapolis Scecina Memorial on Wednesday, Beech Grove came back down to earth. The Hornets took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tri-West Hendricks Bruins on Thursday. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Bruins when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-14, 23-25, 25-20.

Ryker LeTourneau paced Beech Grove's offense, picking up 13 kills. LeTourneau got some help from Aidyn Collins and his 26 assists.

Beech Grove has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Tri-West Hendricks, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9-1.

Beech Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Greenwood on the 5th. As for Tri-West Hendricks, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Martinsville on the 5th.
