Volleyball Recap: Hereford Triumphs

Hereford posted their closest victory since September 6, 2024 on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Peaster Greyhounds, sneaking past 2-1.

Kyndall Valdez had a dynamite game, getting 22 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (five). Kaylee Alonzo was another key player, getting 12 digs and one assist.

Despite the loss, Peaster still got an impressive performance from Kyler Shirley, who had 26 digs and one assist. Shirley is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Madi Hester also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Hereford's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Peaster, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Hereford has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Farmersville on the 22nd. As for Peaster, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Gunter on the 22nd.
