Baseball Recap: Brookwood Takes a Loss

Brookwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Northridge Jaguars, falling 9-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 last Tuesday.

Judson Bryant was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Markeil Williams, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Brookwood's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Northridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookwood will venture away from home to square off against Northside at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Northridge, they will head out to take on American Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
