Basketball Recap: Pryor Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Pryor, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-41 win over the Tahlequah Tigers on Friday. Given Pryor's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Tahlequah is ranked 229th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pryor pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points over those games. As for Tahlequah, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pryor will venture away from home to face off against Edison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pryor is facing Edison at the right time seeing as Edison is stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Tahlequah, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tigers take on the Lions at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Durant will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Tahlequah surely won't give up without a fight.
