Somerset Berkley Regional hadn't done well against Apponequet Regional recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Raiders skirted past the Lakers 4-3. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 victory the Lakers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Kyle Sherman Jr. spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Somerset Berkley Regional's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Alex Crook, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That stolen base marked the first that Crook snagged this season.
