Basketball Recap: Cordova Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Cordova entered their tilt with Glennallen on Thursday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They claimed a resounding 55-20 victory over the Glennallen Panthers. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Cordova's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but John Itliong led the charge by putting up 17 points along with seven assists and four steals. Itliong's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Pearson, who posted 15 points in addition to eight boards and five steals.

Itliong wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Cordova was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. Cordova is 12-2 when they've passed the ball that well.
